This is Critical Hit Parader, a newsletter that provides weekly content on the intersection of music and tabletop roleplaying games.

Matt Thompson is the publisher of Critical Hit Parader newsletter and the host of the Appendix LP Podcast in which he interviews game designers about the music that inspires their game play and design.

Matt is also the creator of the zine Critical Hit Parader: America’s Only Rock ‘n’ Role Playing Magazine. The zine provides tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) content in the spirit of vintage rock magazines like Creem, Circus, and Hit Parader. It is available for purchase from the Goodman Games online store. 

Matt is a regular panelist on The Contrarians Youtube music channel. Recognized as a music historian by Ultimate Classic Rock, Matt was a contributor to the following books by Martin Popoff:

A guitarist and songwriter, Matt creates music under the name The MT Promise. His upcoming album is called The MT Promise Are the Prescott Subdivision Moms Club Widowers.
