Loot the Body has recently released a cool new song to accompany the 100th Dungeon Crawl Classics adventure Music of the Spheres is Chaos. The adventure was written by game designer extraordinaire Harley Stroh and will be available soon as a result of a very successful Kickstarter campaign.
I’m a big fan of Loot the Body. Levi Nunez is the mastermind behind the band, and I interviewed Levi in a recent episode of the Appendix LP podcast. The band was also profiled in the first issue of the Critical Hit Parader zine. This new song is another amazing addition to LtB oeuvre. Check it out here:
The adventure looks equally amazing and includes an outrageous spinning dungeon map. I can’t wait for my copy to arrive!
Free Book Giveaway
We recently reached 100 subscribers for Critical Hit Parader. Thanks so much to all who have read and supported the newsletter!
I’ve had tremendous fun connecting with new people who love music and TTRPGs as much as I do through the newsletter and Appendix LP podcast. To show my appreciation for reaching this humble milestone, I will be giving away two copies of Dominance and Submission, the new Blue Öyster Cult book by Martin Popoff for which I was a contributor. In a couple of weeks, I will randomly select two subscribers of the newsletter to receive a physical copy of the book. In the meantime, please share the newsletter with anyone else who has a passion for the intersection of music and roleplaying games.
Music and Moorcock
The annual Dragon Con in Atlanta just wrapped up this past weekend. I enjoyed this recent interview with Dragon Con co-founder Pat Henry. He mentions the 1987 Dragon Con when Michael Moorcock performed with Blue Öyster Cult’s Eric Bloom. And if you are interested in other music collaborations that Moorcock has done, be sure to check out the 50th anniversary of Hawkwind’s Space Ritual album.
So I have a 2% chance to win the book? Getting out my hundred-sider...come on 99!
